How we call models and which providers we use.
In Laravel
Use the Laravel AI SDK (laravel/ai) to call models. It gives one API for text generation, agents, tools, structured output and embeddings across providers, so switching provider is a config change rather than a rewrite.
Choosing a provider
| Provider | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Amazon Bedrock | The client is on AWS, or needs data to stay in their own cloud account or region. Our usual default. |
| Azure OpenAI | The client is on Azure, or needs data to stay in their own Azure tenant. |
| Anthropic (direct) | Bedrock or Azure would be overkill, for example smaller projects and internal tools. |
